Located
south of Glen Ulin (45 miles east of Dickinson) on Lake Tschida, Heart Butte Scout Reservation is
a great place to spend a weekend or as an overnight camping spot on your
way west to a high adventure.
Two large campsites with shelters are always reserved for Scout use.
Outdoor latrines and picnic shelters are both located in these
campsites. A lodge building, campfire ceremony area, OA site and chapel
area are all available. The main lodge includes two fireplaces, a
kitchen with six-burner stove, oven sinks, shower and a flush toilet.
The water is potable but is high in iron content. Good fishing, hiking,
canoeing and a nearby public beach all make this a great location for a
Troop outing.
